Marta Gèpe is an author, storyteller and illustrator with a multidisciplinary background that involves cross-cultural communication, teaching and mentoring.Her work as a storyteller focuses mainly on the intricacies of the human experience and how we interact with each other. Her stories, told in a light-hearted tone, focus on the mundane details of life, interpersonal relationships and psychology.In 2020 she published her first book 'My Bright, Little Universe' (Amazon, KDP) based on the entries she published on a daily basis during the first lockdown.Additionally, her varied background has allowed her to collaborate with brands as a character designer, run her own private mentoring practice or be the COO of a start-up for a short while.Now she uses all her past experience as a catalyst for her work as a storyteller.To find out more, you can visit the portfolio, or subscribe to her weekly column on Substack, 'Private Confessions'.

About

After being born in Cordoba, raised in Seville and grown as an adult in London, it is no wonder Marta loves staying dynamic in her life and career.In addition to 15+ years of experience in communication (she graduated in Translation & Interpreting, holds a Master's degree in Intercultural Communication for Business and taught Spanish and German for a decade, while living in London), Marta has always had a passion for graphic storytelling. This led her to work on her illustration skills on the side and take advantage of the UK scene, thoroughly cultivating a rich background in graphic narrative and illustration at institutions such as The Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration (London), Cambridge School of Art, or The Royal Drawing School (London).With a keen interest in psychology, she is also a certified mentor and life coach, which has made a deep impact on the way she portrays characters and their stories.Currently, she is based in Lisbon (Portugal)
